Membership

The Northwest Service Cooperative serves schools, cities, counties and other governmental agencies as well as non-profits (501c3) in economic regions 1 & 2. The member organizations "own" the cooperative and govern it with elected officials from public schools and government agencies.
The following are the different membership levels.
Full Membership: Membership in the Northwest Service Cooperative is open to all public school districts. Voting privileges in the governance of the Northwest Service Cooperative are limited to full members.
City, County and Other Governmental Agencies (CCOGA) Membership: Cities, counties and other governmental agencies as defined in Minnesota Statute 471.59 who elect to pay the membership services fee as determined by the Board of Directors. Voting privileges in the governance of the Northwest Service Cooperative are limited to full members.
Associate Membership: Associate Membership is open to all public schools, cities, counties and other governmental agencies outside the boundaries of economic regions 1 & 2. Private schools and charter schools within economic regions 1 & 2 also fall into this category. Associate members do not have voting privileges.
Non-Profit Membership: Non-profit agencies (501c3) in economic regions 1 & 2 can also take part in all the services the NWSC offers. Non-Profit members do not have voting privileges.
