Director for the Minnesota STEM Ecosystem

    We are members of the of Minnesota STEM Ecosystem, a concept of the STEM Funders & Supporters Network, which is a community of stakeholders advancing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in education, workforce development, and community engagement.  

    Our goal is to close the STEM opportunity gap among Minnesota K-16 students and to increase the number of young people, especially women and underrepresented young people of color, choosing and entering STEM fields.

    To help us reach this goal, we are currently hiring a founding Director for the Minnesota STEM Ecosystem is who will serve as a full-time resource responsible for building out the model and vision for a statewide network of regional STEM coordinating hubs, build buy-in, and set the stage for establishing a cross-sector community of practice.

    Background:

    The Minnesota STEM Ecosystem is a concept of the STEM Funders & Supporters Network, a community of stakeholders, advancing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in education, workforce development, and community engagement. Our vision for this work was informed by conversations with those engaged in similar efforts across the country including the KC STEM Alliance, MiSTEM Network, and the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council. The new STEM Ecosystem will work with cross-sector partnerships that share an investment in STEM and will leverage existing STEM efforts across the state to expand STEM Ecosystem efforts to additional regions of the state.
