Young Authors Conference

The Young Authors Conference is designed to encourage and inspire young writers in grades 5-8, promoting student enthusiasm and competence in written communication. Through interaction with established authors, poets, playwrights, storytellers, illustrators, journalists and teachers of writing, students discover and explore their writing talents and potential. A general session for all students is followed by several in-depth hands-on breakout sessions. A book fair and autographing session with authors and illustrators is also scheduled.
